Women’s self-defense
Get Stronger, Be Healthier, Feel Safer
What’s Different
Our women’s self-defense classes use a modified version of our Combatives system including more elements of Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu.
It is designed specifically for a woman to effectively use biomechanics principles:
to overpower a larger opponent.
to avoid being taken to the ground.
to utilize joint breaks from the ground.
to escape from the ground.
Four Pillars
Our women’s self-defense style is built on the same four pillars as our Combatives system:
Self-defense techniques
Kickboxing Skills
Reflex Development
Endurance Conditioning
Because you can only succeed in an encounter if you have the speed to respond (Reflexes) with an effective reaction (Self-defense) that has ample power and precision (Kickboxing) and with the endurance to last (Conditioning).
Types of classes
The full women’s self-defense course is broken up into beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes.
The beginner class focuses on basic mechanics, self-defense techniques, and ground basics.
The intermediate class focuses on sparring and advanced ground techniques.
The advanced class focuses on using self-defense weapons (spray, taser, keychain spike, etc) and takedowns.
